The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within Kingsoft Writer when processing certain *.doc files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into opening a specially crafted *.doc file. The vulnerability is confirmed in Kingsoft Writer 2010 (6.6.0.2462).
