The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing network packets. This can be exploited to hang the "gsan" service via a specially crafted TCP packet. The vulnerability is reported in versions 4.1.x and 5.0. SOLUTION: Contact EMC Customer service to obtain patch #18975 for versions 4.1.x, or to request an upgrade to version 5.0 SP1 or later.
