---------------------------------------------------------------------- Secunia CSI + Microsoft SCCM ----------------------- = Extensive Patch Management http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporate/wsus_sccm_3rd_third_party_patching/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: Siestta Cross-Site Scripting and Local File Inclusion Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA39453 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/39453/ DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Siestta, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and disclose sensitive information. 1) Input passed to the "usuario" parameter in carga_foto_al.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. 2) Input passed to the "idioma" parameter in login.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources via directory traversal sequences. Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.0. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and verified.
