---------------------------------------------------------------------- Secunia CSI + Microsoft SCCM ----------------------- = Extensive Patch Management http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporate/wsus_sccm_3rd_third_party_patching/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: Aris agXchange ESM Redirection Weakness and Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA39058 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/39058/ DESCRIPTION: Yaniv Miron has reported a weakness and a vulnerability in Aris agXchange ESM, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing and cross-site scripting attacks. 1) Input passed to the "returnpage" parameter in pages/ucschcancelproc.jsp is not properly verified before being used to redirect users. This can be exploited by e.g. tricking a user into following a specially crafted HTML link to a trusted site's pages/ucschcancelproc.jsp script. The user will be redirected to the untrusted (fake) site when he clicks on the link. 2) Input passed to the "QueryID" parameter in pages/ucquerydetails.jsp is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. SOLUTION: Filter malicious characters and character sequences using a proxy.
