---------------------------------------------------------------------- Use WSUS to deploy 3rd party patches Public BETA http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporate/wsus_3rd_third_party_patching/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: Softbiz Jobs and Recruitment Script Cross-Site Scripting and Request Forgery SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA38693 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/38693/ DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Softbiz Jobs and Recruitment Script, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and request forgery attacks. 1) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g. add or delete employers by tricking the administrator into visiting a malicious web site. 2) Input passed to the "sbad_type" parameter in admin/addad.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. SOLUTION: Do not browse untrusted websites or follow untrusted links while logged in to the application. Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
