Successful exploitation requires that the application is running under FreeBSD or Solaris, and that the user is tricked into connecting to a malicious server. 2) An error in the "node_process_command()" function can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands via specially crafted data sent to a ZABBIX server. 3) Input passed to the "send_history_last_id()" function in zabbix_server/trapper/nodehistory.c is not properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. 4) A NULL-pointer dereference error in the "process_trap()" function in zabbix_server/trapper/trapper.c can be exploited to cause a crash. 5) A NULL-pointer dereference error in the "zbx_get_next_field()" function in libs/zbxcommon/str.c can be exploited to cause a crash. SOLUTION: Update to version 1.8.
