The vulnerability is caused due to the PDFVIEWER.PDFViewerCtrl.1 ActiveX control (pdfviewer.ocx) providing the insecure "FtpDownloadFile()" method. This can be exploited to download files to arbitrary locations on a user's system when visiting a malicious website. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
