The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing serializable data and can be exploited to consume large amounts of CPU via regular expression strings containing a large number of optional groups. The vulnerability is reported in the following products and versions: * Spring Framework versions 1.1.0 through 2.5.6, and 3.0.0.M1 through 3.0.0.M2 * dm Server versions 1.0.0 through 1.0.2 SOLUTION: Spring Framework 2.5.6 Community: Update to version 2.5.6.SEC01.
