010 Editor Template Files Buffer Overflows

DESCRIPTION:
Some weaknesses have been reported in 010 Editor, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The weaknesses are caused due to boundary errors in the processing of
binary template files. These can be exploited to cause stack-based
buffer overflows via specially crafted binary template files
containing overly long strings.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code by
tricking a user into running a specially crafted template file.

The weaknesses are reported in versions prior to 3.0.5.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.0.5.
