Family Connections File Upload Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Family Connections, which can
be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the document upload feature
failing to validate the extension of an uploaded file. This can be
exploited to e.g. upload and execute arbitrary PHP files passing an
allowed MIME media type in the HTTP headers.

Successful exploitation requires valid user credentials.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.8.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
