Successful exploitation requires that the "netcd" daemon is running. 2) A boundary error in the privileged "/usr/sbin/autoconf6" command can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that RBAC is used and that the attacker has the "aix.network.config.tcpip" authorization. 3) An error in the privileged "/usr/bin/enq" command can be exploited to delete arbitrary files, if "/etc/qconfig" defines a print queue. 4) An error in the privileged "/usr/bin/crontab" command can be exploited to gain escalated privileges. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires the "aix.system.config.cron" authorization. The vulnerabilities are reported in AIX version 6.1. SOLUTION: Apply fixes or APARs. http://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/efixes/security/aix61_fix.tar -- APARs -- AIX 6.1.0: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ35181 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ34753 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ34785 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ34783 AIX 6.1.1: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ35170 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ34393 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ34481 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ34478 AIX 6.1.2: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ35209 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ30231 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ33088 http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IZ30248 PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Reported by the vendor.
