DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Symantec Altiris
Deployment Solution, which can be exploited by malicious, local users
to gain knowledge of sensitive information or gain escalated
privileges.

1) Design errors in the Client GUI allows bypassing client security
settings and can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands with
SYSTEM privileges by activating hidden controls via windows
messaging.

2) Altiris Deployment Solution agent stores the Application Identity
Account password in memory in clear text. This can be exploited by
unprivileged users with access to the Deployment Solution Server
system to gain knowledge of the password and e.g. deploy arbitrary
programs on client systems.

Update to version 6.9 SP1.
