DESCRIPTION:
dmnt has discovered a vulnerability in GuildFTPd, which can be
exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling FTP
"LIST" requests. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer
overflow via a combination of specially crafted "CWD" and "LIST"
commands.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.999.14. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
