Input passed to the "file" and "HelpFile" parameters in parse.php, to the "start" parameter in showmail.php, and to the "abookview" parameter in abook.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 5.42 (RPM) on CentOS using the "Simple (Any browser)" interface. SOLUTION: Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a proxy.
