The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing malformed Beatcraft Project files (*.bcproj). This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into opening a specially crafted Beatcraft Project file. Successful exploitation allows the execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.02 Build 19. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not open untrusted Beatcraft Project files.
