DESCRIPTION:
securfrog has discovered a vulnerability in HydraIRC, which can be
exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a user's
system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing
of "irc://" URIs. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow by tricking a user into opening an overly long "irc://" URI
in a web browser.

Execution of arbitrary code has not been proven, but cannot be
completely ruled out.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.3.164. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
