This can be exploited to crash the WordClient service by sending a specially crafted HTTP POST request to WorldClient.dll. 2) A boundary error exists in the WordClient interface when processing "Reply" requests with e.g. an overly long "Subject" field. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted email sent from the WordClient interface. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but requires a valid email account on the affected server. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 9.6.5. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to the WordClient interface.
