The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the Novell iPrint Control ActiveX control (ienipp.ocx) when handling the "ExecuteRequest()" method. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by passing an overly long (greater than 256 bytes) argument to the affected method. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in versions 4.26 and 4.32. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Update to version 4.34. http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=prBBH4JpImA~ PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Paul Kurczaba ORIGINAL ADVISORY: http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=prBBH4JpImA~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About: This Advisory was delivered by Secunia as a free service to help everybody keeping their systems up to date against the latest vulnerabilities.
