DESCRIPTION:
Aria-Security Team have discovered a security issue in MyWebFTP,
which can be exploited by malicious people to gain knowledge of
sensitive information.

The security issue is caused due to user information being stored in
the mwftp5/free/_files/conf/pass.php file and can be exploited to
disclose the administrator password hash.

The security issue is confirmed in version 5.3.2 Free edition. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict web access to the "mwftp5/free/_files/conf/pass.php" file
(e.g. with ".htaccess").
