DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in Gentoo, which can be exploited
by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The security issue is caused due to the MLDonkey ebuild incorrectly
adding a new "p2p" user to the system with an empty password and a
valid login shell. This can be exploited to gain access to an
affected system.

Successful exploitation requires that a remote login server that
allows empty passwords is installed on the system.   

The security issue is reported in versions prior to 2.9.0-r3.

SOLUTION:
The vendor recommends changing the login shell of the "p2p" user to
deny login (e.g. "usermod -s /bin/false p2p").
