This can be exploited to bypass IP address checks by connecting to Simple PHP Blog and sending arbitrary values in one of the headers. 2) Input passed in the "Client-IP" HTTP header to comment_add_cgi.php is not properly sanitised before being stored. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed. It can also be exploited for session fixation attacks. 3) Input passed to the "lang2" parameter in languages_cgi.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires valid administrator credentials and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled. 4) A vulnerability is caused due to the application allowing users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can be exploited to e.g. include local files (see #3), delete files, or execute arbitrary PHP code. 5) The emoticons.php script that handles emoticon uploads does not correctly restrict certain types of uploaded files. This can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary PHP code by uploading a specially crafted PHP script that is also a valid JPEG image. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires valid administrator credentials. The vulnerabilities are reported in version 0.5.1. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to Simple PHP Blog (e.g. with ".htaccess"). Use another product.
