The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing cue files and can be exploited to cause a stack based buffer overflow via a specially crafted cue file containing an overly long "FILE" string. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires that a user is tricked into opening a malicious cue file. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.55 and reported in version 3.56 build 050213 BETA. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not open untrusted cue files.
