The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "addnewword()" function when copying data received from the network. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow. Successful exploitation requires that the user was enabled network game. The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.4.4. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Host network games only when connected to trusted networks. Some Linux vendors have issued updated packages.
