The security issue is caused due to user credentials being stored insecurely in the connection cache. This can be exploited to disclose passwords used for the EAServer Manager. Successful exploitation requires access to the EAServer Manager (e.g. a user with guest permissions). It has also been reported that it is possible to disclose passwords entered in password prompt dialog boxes and passwords in connection profiles stored on the file system.
