The vulnerability is caused due to the bridge ioctl calls not zeroing out used stack memory, which may expose random portions of kernel memory to a calling process. SOLUTION: Fixes are not available for the 1.6 branch. Upgrade to a later version for which fixes are available (see vendor advisory for additional information).
