The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error when handling .HTA applications and allows execution of the .HTA application on the user's system without any user interaction when e.g. visiting a malicious web site. The vulnerability has been reported in Internet Explorer 6.0. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not visit untrusted web sites. Disabling Active Scripting support may prevent exploitation, but has not been proven.
