TITLE: PHP-Fusion SQL Injection Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA17664 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/17664/ CRITICAL: Moderately critical IMPACT: Manipulation of data, Exposure of system information WHERE: >From remote SOFTWARE: PHP-Fusion 6.x http://secunia.com/product/5291/ PHP-Fusion 5.x http://secunia.com/product/4758/ PHP-Fusion 4.x http://secunia.com/product/3803/ DESCRIPTION: Robin Verton has reported some vulnerabilities in PHP-Fusion, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks. Input passed to the "forum_id" and "thread_id" parameters in "options.php", and the "lastvisited" parameter in "viewforum.php" and "index.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled. It is also possible to disclose the full path to "subheader.php" by accessing it directly. The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 6.00.206 and prior. SOLUTION: Apply patch for version 6.00.206. http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/downloads.php?cat_id=3&download_id=174 PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Robin Verton Additional information provided by the vendor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About: This Advisory was delivered by Secunia as a free service to help everybody keeping their systems up to date against the latest vulnerabilities.
