DESCRIPTION:
edward11 has discovered a vulnerability in e107, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.

The vulnerability is caused due to e107 allowing a user to upload
HTML and TXT attachments containing JavaScript. This can be exploited
to execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected web site when a HTML or TXT attachment is
viewed.

Successful exploitation requires that the user is tricked into
clicking on a HTML or TXT attachment when using  the Internet
Explorer browser.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 0.6171. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Disable upload of HTML and TXT attachments.
