Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities allows execution of arbitrary code with SYSTEM or root privileges. The vulnerabilities have been reported in CA License software versions 1.53 through 1.61.8. NOTE: The license package is reportedly included with the majority of CA products. However, it is not clear which products don't include this package, as a list hasn't been published by the vendor. SOLUTION: Update to version 1.61.9 or later. http://supportconnectw.ca.com/public/reglic/downloads/licensepatch.asp#alp PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: 1-3) Greg MacManus, iDEFENSE Labs. 4-6) Discovered by anonymous person and reported via iDEFENSE.
