Vulnerability Details ======================== The SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench does not sufficiently encode user controlled inputs, specifically the username during user creation/modification. This could allow remote authenticated attackers to trigger XSS techniques and execute more complex attack scenarios. 6. Solution =========== Implement SAP Security Note 2153898. 7. Report Timeline ================== 01/26/2015: Onapsis provides vulnerability information to SAP AG. 01/27/2015: SAP AG confirms reception of vulnerability report. 02/10/2015: SAP reports vulnerability is “In Process” 05/12/2015: SAP releases Security Note 2153898 fixing the issue but not informing Onapsis the fix was included in that Note. 05/12/2015: Onapsis asks SAP on the status of internal case corresponding to reported vulnerability ONAPSIS-00157. 05/12/2015: SAP informs reported vulnerability ONAPSIS-00157 was considered duplicate of ONAPSIS-00162, thus included in the same Security Note fixing that vulnerability. 09/29/2015: Onapsis publishes security advisory.
