This fixes a security issue and a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing attacks and compromise a user's system. 1) A boundary error within the "convert_to_idna()" function (WWW/Library/Implementation/HTParse.c) when parsing hostnames can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow execution of arbitrary code. 2) The security issue is caused due to the server hostname not being validated against the domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName fields of X.509 certificates. This can be exploited to spoof a SSL server via e.g. Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks. SOLUTION: Apply updated packages.
