This vulnerability is reported in Asterisk versions 1.6.2.x prior to 1.6.2.24, 1.8.x prior to 1.8.11.1, and 10.x prior to 10.3.1 and Asterisk Business Edition versions 3.x prior to 3.7.4. 2) A boundary error within the Skinny channel driver when handling KEYPAD_BUTTON_MESSAGE events can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via specially crafted KEYPAD_BUTTON_MESSAGE events. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow execution of code. This vulnerability is reported in Asterisk versions 1.6.2.x prior to 1.6.2.24, 1.8.x prior to 1.8.11.1, and 10.x prior to 10.3.1. 3) An error within the SIP channel driver can be exploited to cause a crash via specially crafted SIP UPDATE requests. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that the "trustrpid" setting is set to "True". This vulnerability is reported in Asterisk versions 1.8.x prior to 1.8.11.1 and 10.x prior to 10.3.1 and Asterisk Business Edition versions 3.x prior to 3.7.4. SOLUTION: Update to a fixed version.
