This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed. 2) An error due to the index.php (when "q" is set to "admin/settings/stringoverrides/import") improperly verifying the content of uploaded files when importing replacement strings can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed. Successful exploitation requires the "administer string overrides" permission. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 6.x-1.8. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
