This fixes a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users and malicious people to manipulate certain data. Input passed via the username during the authentication process is not properly sanitised before being used and can be exploited to create arbitrary directories via directory traversal sequences. NOTE: Malicious, local users can further exploit this to overwrite arbitrary files via symlink attacks. SOLUTION: Apply updated packages via the zypper package manager.
