For more information: SA41215 2) The application loads an executable (perl.exe) in an insecure manner, which can be exploited to execute an arbitrary program. Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires tricking a user into e.g. opening ".gnucash" file located on a remote WebDAV or SMB share. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.4.7 r20813 running on Windows. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not open untrusted files.
