The weakness is caused due to an error within the Jsvc library, which does not drop permissions for the application to access files and directories owned by the super user. This can lead to certain applications being able to access files and directories of the super user. The weakness is reported in versions 7.0.0 through 7.0.19, 6.0.30 through 6.0.32, and 5.5.32 through 5.5.33. SOLUTION: Update to version 7.0.20 or update to version 5.5.34 or 6.0.33 when available. Also fixed in the SVN repository and the vendor has also provided a proposed patch for Apache Tomcat version 5.
