The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the incremental recursion feature, which can be exploited to cause a memory corruption by tricking a user into syncing from a malicious server. Successful exploitation requires that the "--recursive", "--delete", and "--hard-links" options are on and the "--owner" option is off. SOLUTION: Update to version 3.0.8.
