whisker is what I've dubbed a 'next generation' CGI scanner. It is Scriptable. It's a programming-ish language that is tailored to do lots of flexible web scanning. Very stealthy. I've implemented anti-IDS checks into the scan. Includes over 200 checks. Lots of options. Reads in nmap output, files full of domains, or single host. Virtual host support. Proxy support. Can be used as a CGI.

ChainMail's Mithril Secure Server enables ISPs and organizations to offer their users the ability to send e-mail in a secure, encrypted format. Chainmail has dubbed Mithril "The Antivore" and released it for free distribution in direct response to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Carnivore e-mail surveillance system. The Mithril System provides server-side management of e-mail encryption and keys. It is implemented as a transparent shim between an e-mail user's existing mail client and their existing mail servers.

Microsoft Security Bulletin (MS00-054) - Microsoft has released a patch for the "Malformed IPX Ping Packet" vulnerability in Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and 98 Second Edition. The vulnerability could be used to cause an affected system to fail, and depending on the number of affected machines on a network, potentially could be used to flood the network with superfluous data. The affected system component generally is present only if it has been deliberately installed. Microsoft FAQ on this issue available here.
