OpenStego is a tool implemented in Java for generic steganography, with support for password-based encryption of the data. It supports plugins for various steganographic algorithms (currently, only Least Significant Bit algorithm is supported for images). Both source and jar releases are in this tarball.

Changes: Added support for bulk embedding of messages. Multiple files can be selected or wildcards can be provided for cover files.

Vuurmuur is a middle-end and front-end for netfilter and iptables that is aimed at system administrators who need a decent firewall, but do not have netfilter specific knowledge. It converts human-readable rules into an iptables ruleset (or optional a bash script), makes netfilter logs readable, and includes an ncurses GUI.

Changes: Added support for the --random option for NAT targets/actions. Added support for traffic shaping. Various other switches and bug fixes are included since 0.5.73.

ctunnel is a program for proxying and forwarding TCP connections via a cryptographic tunnel. ctunnel can be used to secure any existing TCP based protocol, such as HTTP, Telnet, FTP, RSH, MySQL, etc. You can even tunnel SSH. You can also chain or bounce connections to any number of intermediary hosts.
