Overview

Vulnerability in the Oracle VM VirtualBox product of Oracle Virtualization (component: Core). Supported versions that are affected are Prior to 5.2.36, prior to 6.0.16 and prior to 6.1.2. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle VM VirtualBox executes to compromise Oracle VM VirtualBox. While the vulnerability is in Oracle VM VirtualBox, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle VM VirtualBox accessible data. Ubuntu Security Notice 4639-1 - It was discovered that there was a bug in the way phpMyAdmin handles the phpMyAdmin Configuration Storage tables. An authenticated attacker could use this vulnerability to cause phpmyAdmin to leak sensitive files. It was discovered that phpMyAdmin incorrectly handled user input. An attacker could possibly use this for an XSS attack. It was discovered that phpMyAdmin mishandled certain input. An attacker could use this vulnerability to execute a cross-site scripting attack via a crafted URL. Various other issues were also addressed.
