Overview

IBM SAN Volume Controller, IBM Storwize, IBM Spectrum Virtualize and IBM FlashSystem products ( 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.6.1, 7.7, 7.7.1, 7.8, 7.8.1, 8.1, and 8.1.1) are vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session. Ubuntu Security Notice 3821-1 - Wen Xu discovered that the ext4 filesystem implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly ensure that xattr information remained in inode bodies. An attacker could use this to construct a malicious ext4 image that, when mounted, could cause a denial of service. It was discovered that the alarmtimer implementation in the Linux kernel contained an integer overflow vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service. Various other issues were also addressed.
