portfwd is a small userlevel daemon which forwards incoming TCP connections or UDP packets to remote hosts. Multiple forwarders can be specified in a flexible configuration file. There is support for FTP forwarding and transparent proxy.

Portfwd is a small C++ utility which forwards incoming TCP connections and/or UDP packets to remote hosts. Multiple forwarders can be specified in a flexible configuration file. There is support for FTP forwarding.

Changes: Some problems preventing compilation on RedHat 7.0 have been fixed. Support for GNU Autoconf/Automake has been improved.

Portfwd is a small C++ utility which forwards incoming TCP connections and/or UDP packets to remote hosts. Multiple forwarders can be specified in a flexible configuration file. There is support for FTP forwarding.

Changes: Compilation now defaults to production switches (i.e. optimization flags and a stripped executable), a minimal FAQ has been added to the documentation, and a problem with initialization scripts has been fixed.

Changes: Automatic fixing of network addresses as suggested by netmasks, forwarders can now switch to an unprivileged user account after binding the local address, and a better configuration example has been added.
