The goal of FireStarter is to provide an easy to use, yet powerful, GUI tool for setting up, administrating and monitoring firewalls for Linux machines. FireStarter is made for the GNOME desktop. It can actively monitor your firewall and list any unauthorized connection attempts made to your machine in a readable table format.

Changes: This is the first GNOME 2.0 version of Firestarter featuring a completely new user interface, in-depth traffic inspection, new filtering options, a new manual, and many other improvements.

Changes: New features include IRC connection tracking and NAT configuration, recognition of Universal PnP as a service, console control, remote usage over SSH, and the very latest IANA nonroutable IP block list. This release also includes a bunch of bugfixes.

Changes: A more powerful wizard!!!!! Smarter connection tracking, more advanced sysctl checks that provide better security than ever, ability to forward different protocols (e.g., UDP), and lots of bugfixes.

Changes: Port forwarding interface, a manual, protection against all known trojans, and blocking of Trinity V3 and DDoS attacks added. Also a number of small enhancements all around.
