DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Avaya IP Office Manager, which
can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing TFTP
requests and can be exploited to cause the service to terminate via a
specially crafted packet.
Successful exploitation requires the Manager application to be
running.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 8.1 (5). Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only (e.g. via MAC-based network
access control lists).
