DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in RealPlayer, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the
vidplin.dll module while parsing the AVI header and can be exploited
to cause a heap-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into
opening a malicious AVI file.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in versions 14.0.1 and prior, SP 1.1.5
and prior, and 11.1 and prior.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 14.0.2.
