DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in Apache mod_fcgid module, which
can be exploited by malicious, local users to potentially gain
escalated privileges.
The problem is caused due to an error within the
"fcgid_header_bucket_read()" function in fcgid_bucket.c, which can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow when receiving
specially crafted FastCGI data.
The security issue is reported in versions prior to version 2.3.6.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.3.6.
