DESCRIPTION:
High-Tech Bridge SA has discovered a security issue in SweetRice,
which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.
The security issue is caused due to the password reset mechanism in
as/index.php (when "type" is set to "password" and "mod" is set to
"resetok") not properly validating the supplied token. This can be
exploited to change the administrative password and gain
administrative access to the application.
Successful exploitation requires knowing the administrative email
address.
The security issue is confirmed in version 0.6.7 and 0.6.7.1. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the administrative section.
