DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Textpattern, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed via the "Message" field when adding a comment to an
article is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be
exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will get
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious data is being viewed.
Successful exploitation requires that the comment is accepted by the
administrator, or that "Moderate comments?" is set to "No" in the
back-end.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.2.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 4.3.0.
