DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in K2Editor, which can be exploited
by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application loading loading
an executable file in an insecure manner and can be exploited by
tricking a user into e.g. opening certain text files located on a
remote WebDAV or SMB share.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version R.1.5.8. Prior versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version R.1.5.9.
