DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in FreePBX, which can be
exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed via the "usersnum" parameter when uploading recorded
files in the administrative section is not properly sanitised before
being used. This can be exploited to upload and save arbitrary files
in a web accessible location or to inject and execute arbitrary shell
commands.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but
requires an administrative user account.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.8.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Fixed in the GIT repository.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Wendel G. Henrique, Trustwave's SpiderLabs.
Additional information about shell command injection provided by
Secunia Research.
